Or even rent out a humble apartment in one of South Delhi’s posh areas. But yeah, even renting a place there would be a major pipe dream for most. We serve homely meals, take out your laundry and clean your rooms regularly. So you’ll have plenty of time. You could use it to dream. About one day living in one of these 12 most areas in Delhi.

Want to live lavishly but spend reasonably with the best amenities? Check our Residences in Delhi! |
Jor Bagh is one of the most posh localities in Delhi. Maybe due to the historical monuments and lifestyle avenues nearby. Moreover, it’s located within a walking distance from the Lodhi Garden. So you can probably choose your picnic spot just by pointing at it from your balcony. But if you do want such a balcony at Jor bagh, you might have to spend up to 10 lakhs for one (we’re talking just about rent, to be clear).
Shanti Niketan is a posh colony in Delhi. It was initially created as a residential area for government officials but it’s now a sought-after address. Maybe, Indians go bonkers when anything is even remotely associated with ‘Sarkari. Like the neighbour auntie who’s always nagging you about finding a government job, you know.
Gulmohar Park is one of the most posh places in Delhi. It was initially set up by a group of journalists. But we’re sure they were not of the shout-my-lungs-out-over-live-television kind of journalists. Coz who’d be so angry when they live in houses with lush green lawns and serene little ponds, right?
If you’ve ever seen Hauz Khas, you’d know it’s one of the most scenic areas in Delhi. Well, only if you weren’t sloshed up to your neck after clubbing. But jokes apart, Hauz Khas houses some of the most lavish bungalows beside the gigantic Deer Park. But instead of deers, you’re more likely to spot some gym bros working out there.
Safdurjung is a popular South Delhi posh area. Although it’s mainly known for its many northeastern shops and eateries, the surrounding area is filled with millionaires. But do you think they also come out once in a while and taste the famous North-eastern style momos for 40 bucks? And relentlessly keep asking for some extra chutney? Uh-huh. Probably not.
You might not own a house in Panchsheel Enclave at the moment, but you can still take a walk along its lanes. Because honestly, they’re just beautiful. Every lane is sheltered by giant tree canopies. And sunlight filtering through the trees. With a soft touch of warmth on your skin. Poetic much? Probably why a lot of great Indian writers live there.
Green Park is one of the more reasonably priced posh areas in Delhi. But don’t get excited as minimum rent still starts from 20,000 rupees. And for just a 1 room-kitchen. But if you’re moving in with your partner, you might be able to live there together by pooling in both of your resources. You can call it a ‘joint venture’ then instead of a relationship. Lol.
It’s strategically located in schools, medical facilities and hangout places. And it’s filled with lush greenery. Probably why a lot of celebrities live there. Yeah, everything about Greater Kailash is not just great. But ‘greater’ than some of the posh localities in Delhi.
Golf Links is popularly known as the “most posh area in Delhi”. Why? It’s located beside the famous Khan Market which is the 20th most expensive retail location in the world. Probably why Paytm’s billionaire founder bought a house here too. And for how much? Let’s just say way more than the Paytm Cashbacks you’d receive in a hundred lifetimes. (Cue in sad orchestral music)
If you type “Delhi most posh area” in Google, Jangpura Extension will pop up for sure. It has access to all leisure, lifestyle and healthcare facilities. Purchasing a house here won’t only burn a hole in your pocket, but your entire ‘extended’ family’s – your uncles, aunts, your fourth cousin, grandma’s sister’s third cousin’s daughters and even your family friends. And we are not even kidding.
Kailash Colony is another posh colony in Delhi. It is well connected to all places in the NCR region via metro and other modes of transport. The real estate prices go up to a whopping 85 crores. And we were innocent enough (or just middle class) to believe that its residents would travel by metro. Duh!
Vasant Vihar is one of the posh areas in Delhi that’s located near the IGI airport. It is home to famous celebrities, business tycoons and families with a great inheritance. Maybe they directly take their private jets out of their garage and to the airport.
